Hi, Maggie here!

I’m so excited that you’re exploring my site and learning more about who I am, what I do, and how I do it. I feel honored that you’ve chosen to use some of your energy to see what I’m about, so sincerely, thank you! Let’s get to the good stuff….

I’m a hopeful, curious, somewhat feisty introvert who swears. I encourage clients to express themselves in their own language, as therapy can be hard enough without having to worry about the “right” way to say what you need to say. My office is a safe space, and our work is confidential. No judgement here! The work we’ll do is rooted in connection and conversation, and I take this approach to help you examine patterns in your life, identify your goals, and make a sort of map to achieve them. That’s what therapy is for!

I have over 10 years of experience working in mental health holding positions in a variety of environments: a treatment facility for adults who have dual diagnoses, a community supervision department, a private practice for sex offender treatment, and a criminal defense attorney’s office. In each of these positions, I expanded my knowledge and skills to provide restoration training to juveniles and adults, and by serving as a member of the facility’s sex offender treatment program. This is where my interest in mental health started and the work to become a therapist began!

What has kept me working in this field all this time is the drive to become a therapist who will support any adult facing any challenge. In other words, through compassion, empathy, radical acceptance and the inherent dignity and value of each human being I am here to help you “get comfortable” with the things too hard to tackle by yourself. Come and get cozy with your biggest struggles, and let’s get to work together to make you stronger than ever!

Our Services

Individual Counseling

A chance to sit one-on-one with another person who will listen well, hope deeply on your behalf and meet you without judgment. It’s a safe place to intentionally examine yourself, your patterns, and experiences.

I strive to create a supportive environment where you will feel empowered to get to know yourself better, learn to advocate for yourself, identify your strengths and build new ones. It can be valuable just to say things out loud to a person who is there to listen and hold space for you. Therapy can feel overwhelming. It’s common to feel nervous and uncertain at the beginning and throughout the process. It’s a privilege for me to be a support and a guide for you. We’ll work together in an environment of radical acceptance to build self-compassion and rediscover hope, with the ultimate goal of you living a life that aligns with your values.

Counseling for Justice System Involvement

Compassionate counseling services for adults who are involved in the criminal justice system or their loved ones.

The criminal justice system can bring up many complicated feelings: fear, uncertainty, confusion, depression, stress, frustration, shame, anger, etc. By combining my therapy skills with my past work experience in criminal justice, I offer a compassionate, supportive approach to therapy that focuses on managing difficult emotions and learning skills to cope with the unique challenges a person faces while they move through this system. This therapy is for adults who are at any step in the process from knowing an arrest is coming, preparing for court hearings, preparing for incarceration or community supervision (probation or parole), figuring out how to tell loved ones about your situation, to dealing with the challenges of re-entry after incarceration. We will work together to name your feelings, hold space for this difficult experience and help you rebuild compassion for yourself.

I offer the same support for loved ones of those who are involved in the system. This is a unique experience that can be lonely and scary. You don’t have to walk this path alone.
